The Creative Bath Awards 2026 trophy, celebrating the individuals and practices shaping Bath's creative landscape. Drawing on Pearson Lloyd's wayfinding system and the city's Georgian material heritage, the winning design was realised in partnership with sustainable fabricator Solidlux.
The design positions the Creative Bath logo between past and present: a Bath-stone-inspired backing meets a bronze inspired frontage referencing contemporary creative practice. Inspired by Pearson Lloyd's wayfinding system and Bath's Georgian architecture, it frames the city's layered identity as a physical dialogue.
The concept evolved through site observation, sketching, and scale modelling, refining form and presence. I approached Solidlux, a sustainable materials fabricator, and together we produced 20 identical awards from four adhered layers, UV-etched paperstone, two Polygood layers, and a Corian back, materially echoing Bath's historic and contemporary tension.
The project was outsourced entirely pro bono and came in under budget, with the saved cost donated to a charity close to Solidlux's heart. This process culminated with the award ceremony in May.
